Building renovation
questions answered
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you a licensed builder?
Do you offer fixed-price quotes?
Yes, we offer clear and transparent fixed-price quotes so you know exactly what to expect.
Do I need to organise any trades myself?
No, we’ve got it covered. We coordinate and manage all trades needed for your renovation.
Do I need to know my budget before contacting you?
Knowing what your budget range is will help us review the project requirements and quote you based on what is realistically possible within that budget. Our designs and plans are customised for you in accordance with your budget.
How long does a renovation take?
This is dependent on the type and size of the project. A complete home renovation can take around 4-6 months, plus a 1-2 month design process depending on the requirements. Minor renovations, however, take less time.
Kitchens and bathrooms can take anywhere between 2-6 weeks, but it’s always best to discuss your requirements with us.
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes, we do. Please speak with us about the details of your warranty.
Are you able to help with the design process or layout ideas?
Yes, we’re happy to offer advice. For more in-depth planning, we can also connect you with our design partners for larger projects.
What if I already have a designer or architect?
We’re happy to work with any designer or architect you have consulted with.
Do I need permission to renovate my house or apartment?
Before seeking council approval for your specific project, it’s important to check what kind of projects your council generally approves. Project approvals vary from one council to another.
As a rule of thumb, you will find that internal renovations don’t usually need approval from the council unless a project involves structural changes.
Most external renovations, building work, and extensions will require approval. Depending on your council, even a seemingly small project such as a new fence or deck may require approval.
If you live in an apartment, you will need to check with your building manager or strata before conducting any minor or major internal work, as there are usually rules and restrictions.
Do you work on investment properties?
Absolutely. We work with both owner-occupied homes and investment properties depending on your goals.
How soon can we get started?
It depends on our current workload and how quickly we can finalise your quote. We’ll always aim to get things moving as soon as possible.
