Our Bathroom Renovation Services in Varsity Lakes
Full Bathroom Renovations
A full strip-out and rebuild. We go back to bare frame, find and fix any hidden damage, waterproof to the required standard, then rebuild with the vanity, tiles, tapware and screens you pick. Got a bathroom older than 15 years? This is the one to choose, because patching an ageing membrane rarely lasts.
Ensuite Renovations
Ensuites are small, so each millimetre matters. We rework the layout to win back floor space, swap tubs for walk-in showers, fit wall-hung vanities that free up the floor, and use sliding or cavity doors where a swinging door eats into the room. A favourite with Varsity Lakes owners who want a better main bedroom while leaving the family bathroom as it is.
Laundry Renovations
Laundries in busy homes cop a beating. Gym gear, wet towels, pool swimmers and sports uniforms all end up there. We fit sealed benchtops, deep tubs, good drainage and plenty of hanging space and storage to cope. Lots of clients pair it with their bathroom job, so both wet areas run on a single trade schedule and a single budget.
Small Bathroom & Unit Renovations
Plenty of townhouses and units in Varsity Lakes come with a 1.8m x 2m bathroom and a bath no one touches. We open the room up using frameless screens, tiles from floor to ceiling, lighter finishes and recessed niches. Same footprint. It just no longer feels like a cupboard.
Accessible & Ageing-in-place Bathrooms
Hobless showers with no step, slip-rated floor tiles, wall framing reinforced for grab rails and seating made to go the distance. Built for owners planning to stay put in Varsity Lakes for the long haul, not sell up.
Custom Design & Layout Changes
Shifting plumbing, taking out a wall, putting a double shower where the bath used to be, adding a second toilet. We are licensed bathroom builders in Varsity Lakes, so we take on structural and plumbing changes, not only the surface finishes.

"Build On Renovations were very reliable. The renovation they did to our house was executed in a professional manner and quality of work was second to none. Mile team of tradesmen were very easy to approach and ask questions. They were exceptionally clean and tidy each day and I would highly recommend them to anyone!"
Lucy WalkerHouse renovation"Mile has done multiple jobs for me and his work is first class! He is very professional and pleasant and I would recommend him for any work!"
Jeanette EastonRepeat client"Build On Renovations assisted my parents in a whole of house remodel. The works included stripping out the entire house for a full refresh that included opening out the back side of the house (to modernize it). Whilst the quote wasn't the cheapest, the quality of the works and attention to details was second to none. The refresh included both bathrooms, kitchen, laundry and a new outdoor entertainment space. Very happy with the outcome."

Your Local Trusted Bathroom Renovation Company in Varsity Lakes
Moisture finds its way in. Around Varsity Lakes, humid lake air gets into hinges, tapware, shower screen brackets and exhaust fans. Then there is the steam trapped in a shut bathroom all summer. The result is rust spots, black mould along the silicone and a door that won’t close square anymore.
Most owners here are not after a bathroom that looks sharp for two years then fails them. They want one made to handle Gold Coast humidity, with the windows open and long, wet summers.

FAQ’s
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need council approval for a bathroom renovation in Varsity Lakes?
Usually not, if it is a like-for-like job. You generally need approval when the work changes the building structure, the roofline or an external wall. A licensed plumber must handle plumbing and drainage, and notifiable work is lodged with the QBCC. We handle all of that for you.
How do I know the waterproofing was done properly?
You check the paperwork: request the applicator’s licence details along with the waterproofing certificate. Every bathroom from Build On Renovations includes these documents. Keep them somewhere safe, because you will need them when you sell or if you ever make a claim.
Can you renovate my bathroom if I live in a unit?
Yes, we can. Bathrooms in townhouses and units in Varsity Lakes are regular work for us, and we get your body corporate paperwork ready before we start.
Will I be without a bathroom the whole time?
Yes, if it is your only bathroom, for three or four weeks. Plenty of clients split the work into stages or set up temporary facilities. We cover the options at your consultation and, where the layout permits, can get the toilet working again early.
